So can we stop complaining about how he whined that they traded Goose?

Everyone said they wanted him to shut up and stop the puck. Does this qualify as him doing that?

I'd like to exclude myself from that "everyone" comment.

Haven't listened to any post game interviews but did he shut his mouth?

I turned it off after the game was over. Got stuff on my DVR I need to watch. I did see them interviewing him, but didn't hear what he had to say. I changed the channel instead.

Sorry, I'll clarify.

To those posters who thought Miller needed to shut his mouth and stop the puck, does this qualify as him doing that?

Pretty sure if you combine new teammates, all the travel, new system, it's not too unheard of.

Liked his game tonight... I felt like it's not hard to see that the points will come eventually... Made some nice passes. Liked the way he and Ennis started playing tonight, think that 21-19-63 line could do some damage here.

For a first game I think he did a nice job... Excited to see him become more comfortable with his teamates and earn some more PP time.

This is exactly the type of game I was hoping to see from him tonight. I was afraid if he tore it up and then got quiet in a few games we'd have some sort of lynching on our hands.

I'm sure he'll have some ups and downs. Probably score some pretty big goals for you guys, likely the one that puts you in the playoffs.

Just don't expect too much and you'll love what you got.

If I can get something like what we got out of him tonight, I'm cool with it. The points will come if he keeps up the effort. The character part of him is actually what I like the most. It's a nice change from guys like Roy. The team is starting to trend toward the younger players, so he should fit in nicely.

Agreed. I'm not here to troll and take shots at Cody. Just trying to keep it real. I really hope he pans out for you guys, and Kassian does for us. My very first favorite hockey player was good ole' #7.

I like having you guys here to kind of set the record straight.

So many people on this board expect the moon from new guys, and it's really not fair. The points will come and to any knowledgeable hockey fan can see that... It was a defensive game tonight and he responded well... Was down covering the slot and helping to move the puck out of the zone.

I just think when he get's more comfortable the shots and passes will be there.

My only issue is there isn't more of him to go around... A center like that could really help a couple of the wingers we have here in Stafford, Ennis, Heck, he could help Gerbe, Leino, and Kaleta as well... I'm excited to continue to watch his growth as a Sabre... People just need to make sure they don't expect him to be a 90 pt guy right now, maybe not ever *Garth Cough*

I'm pretty sure when all is said & done, both teams will be happy with this trade. It instantly filled needs for both teams.
Kassian had all kinds of expectations placed on him before he even set foot on the ice in the AHL. He was built up to be the next Lucic from youtube videos. I think a change in teams without those expectations will do him good.
